It is important, however, to remember that such things do happen. What changes in implicit prejudice might be revealed if the measures had been in existence long enough to reflect suffrage, women’s mass entry into the workforce during World War II, the civil rights movement, and twentieth-­century urban white flight, to name just a few societal sea changes?
